Our main crèche worker Ellen has had to leave the team after several years doing a wonderful job in order to attend to other priorities so we now have an opening in the main worker / co-ordinator role which urgently needs to be filled. Also we are always in need of additional volunteers. Following on from Ed's post below regarding the Guardian article on meditation, the BBC have been running something this week entitled 'Is 'happiness' a skill you can learn?'. A quick look at their 'Happiness Challenge Workbook' reveals the messages of 'Be Mindful', 'Be Grateful', 'Be kind', all good positive stuff.

Reception at the LBC is staffed by volunteers giving typically half a day a week for this important role, a number of our receptionists have now moved on to different employment and studies and so can no longer help out so more volunteers are needed. Training will be provided for this enjoyable and sometimes challenging role and volunteers should ideally be available for at least three months.
