Contemplatio

It is rare that I read a Buddhist book and begin chuckling aloud  , that has happened often as I  read a line or a turn of phrase and I am surprised at  self recognition which  happens at   Starbucks and  on the bus or tube  or waiting in line at  waitrose while reading  Ratnaguna's –The Art of reflection.I have had it for a while ,  having  became aware of it from  listening to Ratnaguna' s talk on BuddhistAudio…I find it witty, insightful and yet quite uncompromising with a  type of…See More

I have been reading this book, a few pages at a time for 6 months. The cover appealed to me, as did the paper, the print and the rhythm of the narration. A.M meditation in London ?

While I am aware that early morning meditation on wednesday at the LBC is up and running, I do wonder if there is anywhere else in london weekdays which is open for mediation before work? Are there no predawn sanghas anywhere? The tradition of meditation doesn't even matter so much, I would simply love to find somewhere to sit between 6.30ish- 8.30ish. If anyone knows of anywhere, or anything do drop me a line. I have so many good intentions to sustain practise, but I live alone and it simply…See More
