Volunteer to help put on a fundraising ceilidh

Hello friends, The Globe Community Project is a small (but beautifully formed!) charity run by members of the LBC sangha. See our website: www.globecommunityproject.org. Mindfulness and Meditation in Schools

Hello friends. Just to let any teachers (or parents) know that Bodhi Tree, the LBC's educational project, teaches mindfulness and meditation courses in schools. The programme is called Breathing Space and this term I'm in two primary schools (in Newham and Tower Hamlets) and a secondary in Lewisham.Please pass on to anyone relevant that we have availability in the autumn term.A Year 8 student from last term said that doing the 3 minute Breathing Space meditation helped them stop worrying about…See More

A celebration of the 53rd anniversary of the historic mass conversion to Buddhism by Dr Ambedkar and 400,000 of Dalit Indians. The evening is also a fundraiser for the FWBO/TBMSG's centre in Bodh Gaya where the Buddha gained Enlightenment. Looking for a dana (generosity) opportunity?

Do you fancy joining an already successful altruistic project that not many people at the LBC know about? It's the Globe Community Project and we're looking for more folk to get involved or at least know what we're up to!

We're a registered charity and company set up by a bunch of LBC Buddhists in 2003 and we share an office with the Arts Centre team at Eastbourne House. We have 10 people on our committee: but a couple of them are thinking of retiring due to being of mature… Continue
