An abstract 2010?

If you have got a bit of time on your hands,

before the year starts warming up,

you may want to have a browse at this website

A kind of on-line portfolio of some of my art work.

I still have to put the dimensions on for each image, but I thought I would send it out for the start of the year.

Pass on the link to anyone who you think may be interested.

I has just completed an introduction to Buddhist meditation course and want to deepen my study further, particularly in the area of the philosophy and practice of Buddhism. I noticed a course by you entitled 'The Drama of Enlightenment', which sounded interesting. But there is also another course entitled 'Buddhism and the Big Questions' which also looks just as interesting! However, I don't want to go over re-learning the basics of meditation techniques, which I have already done and I now meditate on a daily basis. What would you recommend?

Thank you Vidyadaka for the beautiful paintings, already have had comments from customers - great.
Also as I mentioned the other day, each month the restaurant comes to life breathing new life into the images and the images seem to respond to this.
I try and buy flowers that reflect the works of art. - This month orange seems to work well which highlights the orange in your artwork.
Thanks again

A selection of some of my work currently on show in the Wild Cherry.
This work is about how we make sense of our world, how we see objects and try to fit them in to our point of view, how we attempt to rationalise the relationships between things. They are about the often unseen beauty in experience and living, abut the unknown processes, the unrealised connectedness.
The paintings are about the world and about movement. Objects suspended in harmony, moving together. Some objects seem to collide, and yet there is already something of each of them in the other; so less a collision, more a resonance.

In other paitings the sun and moon play a part. So too does the earth and its geology. What I call bridges mark the movement of things, the transference of energy, the process of metamorphoses. These movements in nature are not separate from our own, human, interactions and creations; some paintings show the marks of the human, the constructions, the measurements, the workings out.

I am largely influeneced by Vasily Kandinsky Joan Miro and Paul Klee.
