Have just been on retreat with the Norwich BC to a windmil in N Norfolk..it was a small group of us - all living communually for 5 days - it really helped my mediatation practice - we studied text on mindfulness. Unfortunately I cant attend the mitra group on mondays but am ploughing my way thro the on line course and readind around. Discovered some v useful material in old copies of Dhama Life magazine ; also in a book by Paul Brunton - who travelled to India and tibet/Nepal in the 1930's to mediate and practive yoga - he talks about "the Overself" quite a lot.

On a different tack -theres a great panaramic view of London from our local old church tower ST Marys, Walthamstow Village, which is open theis weekend. I'm hoping to go up sometime on Sunday afternoon...its part of the Open House weekend. On Saturday I am going to visit a Monastery - in Hertfordshire called Amaravati - www.aramavati.org.
